Welcome to our annual Winter Horror Story Contest! This year's theme focuses on the primal fear of the cold—stories where frozen landscapes, icy isolation, and the bitter chill become instruments of terror.

We're looking for original horror fiction that captures the unique dread that winter can bring. Whether it's a creature lurking in a blizzard, the psychological horror of being snowed in, or supernatural forces awakened by the cold, we want to read your most chilling tales.

• Stories must be between 500-5000 words
• One entry per person
• Must incorporate the winter/cold theme
• No AI-generated content
• You retain all rights to your work
• Winners grant Spookums the right to publish their story
